Holiday Information

There are some beautiful and exhilarating walks along the beaches and coastal paths in our area. However it is advisable to check on beach walks where dogs are allowed and not allowed to go during certain times of the year, this will avoid disappointment and frustration.

Printed maps for dog walkers are available at our surgery, or click here to download a pdf-version.

The walks in the area are special for those with no pets, too, so please remember to take a 'Poop Sloop' or plastic bag with you so that our beaches and pathways are clean and safe for everyone to enjoy.

Please be aware of the dangers of cliff walks with your pet.

There are adders in the area, and may be encountered during walks especially in the towans and in the morning hours. If you think your dog might have been bitten by an adder and shows signs such as uncharacteristically subdued demeanour, swelling of a localised area on nose or mouth or on a leg, drooling or vomiting, then you should take him/her to your vet immediately.

Kennels and catteries are available in the area. Most of these will require you to have some record of up todate vaccinations before entering their premises. We advise you to visit the kennels/cattery you have chosen before you book your holiday to avoid disappointment.

If you would like to discuss any matters before you come on holiday we will be very pleased to help you, please phone or email us.
